So, a bunch of the guys I went to OCS with were bitching on facebook about how their active duty captain list isn't out yet. Â One of them mentions that the reserve and national guard list is (finally), I didn't really have too much of a doubt, but it is good to see (officially) that I will be promoted before the end of the fiscal year (supposedly). Â
is "Captain Crow" too consonant heavy? Â

Oh, that is
rather good.Â
Just finished up a phone screen with a company in Boston that I feel went really well. ;D
Here's hoping they call back for an interview.
Got back and I'm all settled in my apartment. Will post my favorite pictures of the trip later today or tomorrow.
This is how I roll. Next step is a soft pack solar array.

Got a call like two hours later saying they want me to come in for an interview the week of the 12th.

Grats
Cooked dinner for my mom's birthday over the weekend (as requested). Panko crusted salmon, steamed local green beans, and seasoned roasted potato wedges. Everything homemade including the beer.
I approve. You have any pictures?
Unfortunately not. I didn't take any pics of the food.

What about the beer? This is important and will affect your final score on the exam.

This minus the potatoes and beer is what I had for dinner tonight too, lol.
I decided I was sick of wasting the extra coffee in the pot that I make for myself + the ladyfriend every morning, and bought myself a
Thermos Vacuum Flask so I could pour a travel mug + take the leftover coffee and keep it hot so I can have a second/third cup of my favorite joe instead of drinking the garbage we have at work (and wasting the good stuff I made at home).
Holy crap, this thing works amazingly well. 4 hours later, coffee is still steaming. I've tried insulated mugs/bottles before, but never a stainless vacuum flask like this, and I'm impressed.

Get a Keurig broseph. You can get a filter that goes in the K-cup holder so you can make your favorite coffee from grounds.

Survived the bar and got a job. Hopefully I pass, I never want to do that again.

I have one of those filter holder things for work, but Keurigs are obnoxious unless you plug them into the water supply. And when one of the daily things I do is make a pot of coffee and share it with my ladyfriend, the Keurig kinda take the romance out of it. Also, there's one at work, and it still makes garbage coffee. Orders of magnitude better than the coffee vending machine, but still garbage compared to what I make with
my normal drip machine at home.

Woo! Does that mean we'll be seeing more of you now, or less of you?
