Earlier this month I purchased WarHammer 40:000 Space Marine while it was on sale for like $13 - normally $50 at the time, and I already "owned" it but never "bought" it because I did not have $50 for a video game, but I DID have $13.
At the time I purchased it, I was just logging off to go to bed and about dead asleep when I saw the sale, saw it was going to expire in 3 hours so I was like OMG IMPULSE BUY.
Only problem was, I was logged into TF2 idle account #1Â
They offered to refund my moneys for the purchase on the wrong account, but only if I were to prove it was a woopsie by purchasing another copy of the game on the account I intended to.... at full price. And what do you know, they'll even give me 15 days to do it. So I just ignore the ticket reply and shrug it off and settle with the fact I'll have to fire up a 2nd copy of Steam to play Warhammer, oh well.
Fast foreward to Saturday when I happen to notice the price has been reduced to $30 from $50, and I get to thinking "$15 extra isn't so bad, I've still got like 4 days on their offer to swap the game over... nahh"
Then I remember I've got a 66% off THQ cupon from earlier this year... what's that? $30 - 66% is $10.20?
OH SNAP.
Valve refunded my moneys today, and I got Warhaammer 40K Space Marine for $10 bucks.
Then I get to thinking I want the original Half-Life ep's on my laptop for whenever I might need some extra games on there, and I go to snag a few in the store.... then remember I still have my original Half-Life CD kicking around, which happens to have a CD Key.
Activate that CD Key on my laptop's account, and it gets HL1, Opposing Force, Blue Shift, TFC, Ricochet, Day of Defeat and Deathmatch Classic attached to it.
Also I didn't even use up my one time Customer Service gesture on my primary account because the support ticket originated from my TF2 idle account. 9 years and I still have that one time gesture! 8)
I feel like I gave it to Gaben dry today.
