I thought handing in your Soul was an entry requirement for law school?

Pretty much. I legit spent 6 hours straight working on it until I got sick of working on it.
@Cloud_9ine: Considering there are 4 people 'scheduled' to sleep in my room, and I'm not sleeping in it, I'd say you still have a slot to sleep pending negotiations with the other people in it. PM me for details.

My ranty stuff
The way you write this sounds like you really tried to be respectful and work within the normal chain-of-command in your family. And, while she sounds like she has concerns about trusting
your judgment, you put your trust in her to discuss this with your father. Which she didn't do, and which then undermines your trust in her, and which will ultimately make it harder for the two of you to move from a parent-little child relationship to a relationship between two adults.
I'd call her on that (calmly, quietly, respectfully), and remind her that you were trying to be transparent about where you were going and who you would be going with. I'd also ask her to explain how it's wrong for you to go with your family/cousin - does she not trust him also?
Best of luck.

I'm not sure. It seems as though it is more of her not wanting to let me go further away as her child, since I live away from home for school (even if it is 10 minutes away), both of my parents seem to kind of lose track of "how old I am" in the whole sense of independence and stuff and self capabilities. (For example they often still remind me to be absolutely sure I charge my phone before going somewhere the next day, even though I'm capable enough to realize this myself. While helpful, the repetition of this can be annoying.)
Considering that I was able to set up the entirety of Backfire coming to see me when I was at a Robotics competition could kind of show that I could organize, be logical, make got decisions about people I meet. But alas, perhaps the Internet is only full of sexual deviants after all. At least on the positive end, my grades improved as I gave them a good push to show I am capable of deserving this, but I guess it isn't a matter of deserving it.
Also at0m, I messaged you soooooo, yea.

My mom still likes to check whether I ate dinner/lunch/food during the day. Because, you know, I might not be doing those things on my own.

Yea, in no way am I saying my problems are unique to me, it just happens to be that it all just culminated into something of a clusterfuck of events that make it difficult to go to ACEN, but w/e. Other than that rant I made, I'm staying positive.
went to the driving range
charles barkley is a better golfer than me right now
Well part 1. Well I may go to ACEN, just it is for sure not with BRBu I'll be staying. If you want to know more ask.
But for my latest FML:
At our residential school, we have heavy portblocks on standard internet for students for a variety of reasons. It is stupid, but we deal with it. In general this means no steam.
However, we have a computer club here with DMZ access which many of us use as a proxy for steam downloads and we remind each other to never abuse this connection with torrents or anything. So we go months just fine with us using this connection to dl steam games at mega speeds. It is also not load bearing so IT doesn't see it as a problem. We are all shitting rainbows.
However, someone was a dumbass. And torrent a copy of The American and NBC Universal gets our ass with a DMCA. IT shuts down our DMZ demanding an explanation and then we can talk about possibly getting our DMZ back again. Looking at the notice, we got a timestamp of it happening and the ip address. Interestingly, from the address, we find out it is an old server that use to be an alum server, but was just ours now. That said, compared to a few other servers (while we have like 15-20 active machines, only 3-4 are heavily used), this server wasn't heavily used and only had a couple users with ssh access to it. So we will find out who did this, very soon. but end result is, we will possibly have to out this guy if they don't speak up, and on top of that, show IT how this was a fluke (cause it seriously was) and that we deserve our DMZ. Without this DMZ, ACA (the computer club) will basically not exist, which sucks on so many levels.
So yea, one guy fooks it all up for us all.
I'm someplace remote, surrounded by the French Gendarmerie and a Fuck Ton of Local National Construction workers. I'm stuck here because someone at headquarters can't handle scheduling movements. That's not the FML part- I could spend eternity drawing cocks on French ASVs in Chemlight fluid and threatening to skin Hadji alive with my bayonnet if he doesn't put his fucking hard hat on and quit staring at me. No. I called the E-6 at HQ on his bullshit, and used "ASAP" in an email. He ran to his OIC, and the started calling for my head. The worse part- my commander gave it to them. Spineless bastard.Â
I just found out that I've been damaging my beautiful hair by shampooing it every day in the shower. Apparently you're supposed to wait 1-2 days between shampoo washing.
Why? Does anyone do this? What's the deal?

Yeah, it's bad to do it that often. The chemicals in the shampoo eat away at your luscious locks if you expose them that much.

It also depends on the shampoo, a lighter shampoo + conditioner combo is fine, anti-dandruff stuff? That will fuck your hair/scalp up if you use it every day.

That might explain some things...
I shampoo every day and it's never been an issue.
It's kind of the opposite for me... go one day without it, hair looks shitty. But I use both shampoo and conditioner every time.

I am with you here. whenever I lay down for a long period of time or sleep my hair gets greasy so I kinda have to shampoo my hair everyday unless I want my hair to look shitty and greasy.
you people and your long hair. I keep mine short enough where it can go a few days to a week without being shampooed but at least run it under water every other day. i also don't need to worry about it freezing during the winter when I go outside after a shower

this
although, a friend told me about the whole "don't shampoo everyday" thing so I tried it. My hair was definitely less frizzy.
Throat is sore as hell. It's been really windy lately, so the pollen count in the air has been the highest in a decade or so.
