When I was in elementary school a kid in my grade died in a car accident(not wearing a seat-belt) and when some kid told me he was dead I thought he was kidding, this in-turn made the teachers think I had issues and I was in counseling for the rest of the school year. Total BS
Get home, walking down hallway toward bedroom >> start going <squish> <squish> <squish> <squish> when I walk by the bathroom.
tl;dr toilet tank fill shut off valve turned into a toilet tank fill no shutoff valve today. Water 'errywhere///
Bathroom vanity cabinets have soaked up water about 1.8 ft up off the floor, and are soggy, plywood floor is soggy, water all over the basement, ruining like $14,000 in woodworking equipment. because it came thru the vent holes all over everything.
<sigh>

We have 2 slightly large dehumidifiers in the house right now, one in the basement and the other in the bathroom.
We're pretty sure every well, toilet and fishtank within a 50 mile radius of our house is bone dry right now.
