Thought today was gonna be fun and exciting. It turned out to be boring and none of the stuff I thought was gonna happen happened. Instead I (Computer Engineer, NOT english major) had to write a complex summary and comparison of two british works and their opinions on the abstract concept of "Nationalism".
Fuck the Corsair H80 liquid cooler. Fuck it right in its stupid ass.
My good old Phenom II got so hot that the die warped. It's curled up like a potato chip.
I got a replacement processor and I'm staying with heatpipe coolers like the Hyper 212 Evo from now on.

yep.
I've had a negative experience with water cooling as well. Looks cool, but so much more unreliable. also a lot more ambient temperature sensitive.
did you take a picture of the potato chip for lulz factor ?
It doesn't photograph well; it can be felt more easily than it can be seen. But when the front half is in the socket the back half comes up, and you can rock the back half into place but as you're about to close the lever again you can feel the front half's pins are out.
I don't have guns to shoot at it so I'm gonna have a curb stomp party with it later.

The statement represents views aligned with my own beliefs.Â
I run Hyper 212s in both Luin's and my computers. I am currently running a 1.0ghz overclock on my i5-3570 with an idle temp of 30 degrees and a peak of 62, with a room temperature of 22 and using an Antec Sonata Solo case.
It's really hard to beat the 212, especially for the price.
My brother uses a Corsair H80 in his studio PC, but it's front-mounted in a 3U rack-mount case. No problems.... yet.
Oh god, this class. It's "Human Relations". It's a schoolwide requirement. The professor is a former 3rd grade teacher......
I AM USING FUCKING MARKERS AND TALKING ABOUT WHAT FICTIONAL CHARACTER BEST REPRESENTS ME
I love it when I can reuse resources:

So, as I probably stated in this thread before, I am in charge of a group of student ambassadors for my college and we work directly with administration in student affairs. Long story short, in addition to wrecking the purpose and plan I had set for the program, the person who is our adviser is completely mucking up event planning and execution only a few weeks before the events are scheduled. The actions don't match the words. This shit has been carefully planned and worked on for months by now and I really regret taking a lead position. Having people fuck with my shit and subvert my role is really annoying, but then having them fuck with basic event planning is just shitting on the heads of everyone in the group.
This system has no spot for me to perform the function I desire.
Write down your grievances, get a 1-on-1 with the advisor, and bring them up in a calm fashion?

It wouldn't accomplish anything. I've already brought up "correctable" concerns with her such as keeping open lines of communication and so forth as soon as I realized that something was up. The advisor is new in the system and was therefore an unknown element, but now I can see how she works and thinks, and those are things I can't alter.
And let the advisor know that you are willing to take this up the chain of command, to the other advisors, and student life, and one of the deans, because power trips need to be shut down by someone with more power.
In one of the rare instances of me getting on Facebook, I log on to see my Ex that I had blocked sent me a friend request from an account impersonating me...

I used to report impersonators to my friend who's a porn star all the time. I haven't been looking for them as much lately.
