Some people just can't understand math at all.
There's this old saying in college world. "For every hour you spend in class, you need to take twice as many at home."
Best advice I can give is to do some group studying. I found it to be a bit helpful for me.

Got grounded by my parents for getting a D on my algebra test. Not allowed to buy anything online (which is bugging me since I want to get some crap ordered off amazon), no friends over, no allowance (Which is my ONLY source of income right now), and very restricted gaming.
But the good news...
Got raped.
How can you get a D on algebra? I mean you can get in contact with dozens of people who can help you with that pretty easily... I would understant a B, or something similar, but if you got a D, then there is definitely something you didn't understand, dude.
Also, I find it funny your parents are still grounding you for bad grades. I think you're old enough to know that you need good grades to get far in your studies...

Rummy: Sorry about your beer friend.
Karth: So you got a D, now you know what it's going to be like. Look into getting a tutor, most schools will provide them for free. Your parents grounded you so you will grow up and get your ass in gear, so do it. I know you can. <3

I didn't mean that as insults, but rather as an offer of help.
By "dozens of people", I meant at least me... I mean there are so many engineers (or future engies) around. The fact that you got a D would mean that there is at least an aspect you didn't get, and you should at least try to ask around if you ever have a question about something, or some homework you can't finish.
I don't exactly know how maths courses work down south, but I'm pretty positive I can solve pretty much anything you do. Unless it implies fractionnal derivatives, I should be able to solve.

It's not like I'm bad at math or anything, I've exceeded my AIMs Math test and have gotten an A in every math class besides Advanced Algebra honors. Just been having some trouble lately, not really sure why.

Most of them are about Uni, but a month ago my mom got her menopause and like all moms, she went batshit insane. 15 days ago she told my dad she wanted to separate (as in.. live in separate houses without filling a divorce) and she's been going out without telling anyone, and if someone asks where is she going she usually yells at you..
