umm yes
hello there
(I didn't know about any of this beforehand so feel free to laugh at my misfortune)

Just finished playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl. The ending cutscene seemed a little off; I asked the monolith to make me rich...and it was a bad ending. It didn't have anything to do with my amnesia or any of this shit. So I hunted around the level before I see the monolith. Found a ladder that went up into a hallway...with a locked and keycoded door. I didn't see any way to get the code, so I finally had to consult an online guide.

I was supposed to grab some obscure item in the previous level that was never alluded to in the game dialogue.

There is no way to go back.

I can never see the good ending without playing the entire game over.

Sad

You should just be able to spawn the item from the console.

The whole of the main story leads to you getting a quest to get the flash drive long before you leave for Pripyat.  It even tells you where to go.

I already grabbed Strelok's flash drive if that's what you mean; I never talked to Doctor or what-his-name to learn my identity. However, I checked some Youtube videos and figured out that you can use a physics trick to open the door. Dropping a gauss rifle when standing right against the door hinges forces it open for some reason. I tried it, and it worked.
