I'm not sure exactly what it is, but I .....  .... ..  I don't exactly want to type 'enjoy' because that's entirely the wrong word... I find images and video of things that shouldn't normally be seen, fascinating, I suppose.

Be it the social taboo of even having the knowledge of such imagery, the knowledge of the full horrors that mankind can inflict with no regard to morality or to natural law itself, or some broken ass switch in my head - I'm not sure.

It's always been hard to astound me with shocking content and I've always been able to cope with the extreme with ease, so I suppose this might just be a natural, albeit morbid, extension of that trait.


But on the upside, it did prepare me to not flip the fuck out the day I found a [spoiler]miscarriaged fetus in the toilet in the restroom of the rest stop I used to work at on I-95[/spoiler]

Did a double take, lowered my expectations of humanity more than a peg or two and walked back to the booth in gas pump island to radio the State Trooper dispatch and ask them to dispatch a trooper to our station. Then sucked down like 4 cigarettes.

Chances are she didn't know what to do with it either. That's a pretty traumatizing experience, I've known several women who've gone through that (and abortion). They both pretty seriously fuck with your head.

One of the recurring comics in one of our school papers was Aborted Nazi Fetus...

And thankfully I didn't see that reporter one. Worst video I think I've ever seen was a guy attempting a dive off a small cliff, coming up short and splitting his face in half. I can't even begin to imagine what was going through his mind when they were trying to put him back together, besides maybe concrete.

It's always the people that survive horrific shit that bothers me, probably because of empathy.

hey guys i finally have one of those comcast horror stories

taking online final. web app allows for one attempt. comcast decides to do one of its patented "randomly cut out" moves again. web app periodically does a partial load thingy for whatever reason (synching time i guess), and i lose my work. restart computer and router, hoping that all the answers it said were saved, were indeed saved. go to reopen test and i am told that the test was completed. clicked okay, hoping for the best. "test has not been completed." repeats ad infinitum. sent prof email, going to walk up to school and see him.

here's hoping for the best.

universe hates me.

The girl I had been crushin' on for the past couple weeks shot me down last night.  She had been hitting on me on and off for the last few weeks and giving off weird mixed signals like laying on me at the party tonight and getting all cuddly

and then she's like "blah we can't hook up because we're in the same lab it would be weird blah"

which is fucking bulllshiiiitttt ahhhhh and maybe right, but holy god I find a woman who is smart, cute, really unique style/personality, thinks I'm attractive, likes whiskey

and the one fucking good thing in my week (getting into that lab) ends up just fucking me over anyways FUCK

and now I can't fucking sleep goddamnit

gave up on sleep, aquired workout.  you only need two hours of sleep to function normally right.

On 2nd thought, may have dodged a bullet, since previously mentioned girl, earlier in the night, had told me about how she ran into our prof at a bar while she was high on cocaine.  I'm not an "omg all drugs are bad" type, but like, if the cocaine thing is a semi-reg thing, then I wouldn't want to be part of that.
