I seem to have fallen off the face of the earth in the eyes of my friends. No one seems to want to talk to me at all. I used to love Vancouver, but now I just want to get my degree and go back to New Zealand. I'm beginning to hate the western hemisphere... With the backwards roads, summers in July, and dicks they call citizens. (not you guys, you guys are cool.) just 10 more months and I can go party with Vognore in the southern hemisphere...
Don't hate the Hemisphere, hate... well... I don't really know how to finish this.
I doubt Vancouver changed all that much in these past couple years, but life happens and the way you see and feel changes.
If you have a change of heart regarding this hemisphere, I'm sure that it will be happy to have you here.
[/quote]Gotta agree with the didz. Don't hate on the hemisphere, hate on your environment, then
change it. You don't have to completely change the scenery, but there are a lot of things you can do to make your immediate situation more palatable.
I'd offer you both a hug but I'm on the wrong coast.

Yea I know I shouldn't hate on the entire hemisphere, but I am feeling a bit homesick and miss my backwards world.
Plus how will I ever get a job at Stone Street Productions.
One week of no internet, three-to-five pages of unread posts in the common threads I post in. #firstworldproblems.
That hug offer stands, if any of us are ever in the same zipcode.
Dented my car door trying to pull into the tiny ass parking spaces my apartment building has. I'm so pissed at myself right now.

Feeling really bad todayÂ
. It was raining and cold all day which brought my mood down. Then I had my last tuba lesson with my teacher of 4 years and it sucked saying goodbye to him. Then I fucked up dinner.
I fucked up dinner too. If it's been in the freezer for a year, just throw it out, cause it's done, man.
Counting and reciunting hundreds of pouches on a day when you wake up with a splitting headache does not make for fun or efficient times.
Pie still has lady problems. Two (or fewer) romantic dates, then BAM! "You're a great guy, Pie, but hit the showers." Bleh. I need to sample better and fix my technique.

Dont go for romance out of the gate, make a friend, then move toward other goals
3 for 4 with this approach
Alternatively, grow some facial hair and taker her to Pound Town instead of Dairy Queen for the first date.

Ironically, the exact opposite is how I came to be with Foodies. Might not be a bad idea though if you don't have mutual friends to make the whole friend/romantic interest border awkward.
Last night at work I was looking for a soda. None of the machines nor the snack bar had root beer
. I noticed one machine had vanilla coke, though. So I inserted my 50c and out came... a diet coke :'(.
And then I remembered I have a sore in my mouth from when a took a shark-bite out of my own mouth that makes eating and drinking painful.Â
After paying back my debts to my mother I now have less than $50 in my bank account. Â Feels real awesome to have worked 50-60 hours a week for the entire summer and ending up with nothing.

You have paid back debts though and are now a free man, poor, but free

This. Being debt free is a huge blessing. It doesn't seem like much, but it's really a load off one's back.
Had to take my car in to get fixed. Steering rack and power steering pump are both FUBAR'd. Thank God for the warranty.

i have no knowledge of the terms of the loan but i wanted to offer my 2c:
you/he shouldn't have to pay back debts to his/your mother. Parents should help their kids, not saddle them with debt and drive a wedge between.
now for a hashtag, because this isn't twitter. #doingitright

The way it works in my family is that my mom pays for tuition/housing/food during the regular school year, but anything during the summer is on us. I was behind because of no math credits going into college so I needed to take some classes. Combine tuition with rent and only having a part time job and I had to borrow a lot of money. When my parents got divorced my dad left a rather large college fund for all my siblings, but my mom refuses to talk about what she did with it.Â
dear lord. This weekend.
I've been laid up on a couch damn near all day with an incredible headache, probably from inhaling insecticide last night. My to do list for Monday:
call ford for replacement antenna, after the car wash closed it in the car door and broke it in half
call ford about replacement seat motor, and it burned out Saturday morning
call exterminator about treating car, luggage, clothes, after discovering the hotel room had bed bugs after waking up from an hour long nap Saturday afternoon
call hotel about reimbursing me for new clothes, mileage, and above treatment, because BOTH freaking managers were on vacation
call hotel's corporate to complain, because fuck those managers
call county department of health to file a report, because fuck those managers
