Yeah, she's fine. She's the one who called and told me that she got into an accident. It's just a huge PITA. It was a 4 way intersection in a shopping area parking lot with no stop signs.

Yeah, she's fine. She's the one who called and told me that she got into an accident. It's just a huge PITA. It was a 4 way intersection in a shopping area parking lot with no stop signs.

Good that she's fine...any other details, I would assume low(er) speed, but if it wasn't her fault I wouldn't think your rates would go up.

Well, not sure about that yet. The insurance agent wasn't exactly sure how they dealt with the situation off the top of his head and had to do some research. Damage isn't bad, but it's bad enough. Front bumper is busted up on the passenger side under the headlight, headlight itself is cracked, fender is dented with a bunch of paint gone, and the hood doesn't look like it's lined up right anymore.

I'm sure you can buff that right out.

That is the exact damage report from my first accident.  It was deemed my fault because I was a lower-middle-class white teenage boy.

Insurance agencies will find any excuse to raise your rates, it's almost always in their best interest to pay up and then raise your rates.  Fight Dtrain, Fight hard, use baseball bats. 

New HDD and Video Card came in today.  I spent two hours getting windows 7 activated because I forgot I only had an "upgrade" copy.  Long Story short, there are a 1 registry edit and 1 short line in the command prompt to get windows activation to ignore this and activate your good product key.  Too bad I don't remember either of them.

Should be all you need to do is install it once, skip the activation prompt, restart and install it fresh again.  Somehow in Microsoft's eye this makes the upgrade count as an upgrade, even though it's upgrading from itself.  I've only done that on Macs with bootcamp so no guarantee that it'll work, but I don't see why it wouldn't.

well that's good to know.  Got it handled already though.
