but what are you posting...
Mostly just my photos to subreddits like photocritique and /r/analog (when it is film). And not that often like once every other week or so. I'm not sure why I get so many downvotes unless I'm just bad at titles or have a band of redditors actively targeting me. How do you get downvotes in /r/photocritique when you are just asking for feedback?
[/quote]How do you get downvotes in /r/dubstep for posting dubstep? How do you get downvotes in /r/hockey for talking about hockey?
People are assholes and internet karma is extremely reflective of that. Do what I do and ignore them. The more I post on the internet, the more I realize, if you aren't posting what people want to hear, you're going to have a bad time. b)
Reminds me of years ago when I gave a shit about my karma on this very forum. Fuck it, y'all are stuck with me no matter what you think.

I'm developing a hypothesis which is essentially people who are likely to + something are a larger class but more likely to be indifferent to actually +ing something. Whereas the people likely to - something are a smaller class but more active. I think the people equally likely to + or - something are the smallest class and generally see themselves as people doing necessary work to maintain quality. It would be interesting to test to figure out how it actually works.
A good portion of society tells young children that self-worth isn't determined by others. So as an adult, where does the desire to have others determine the value of your work come from? Worse, why have a community known for its baseless criticisms be that group?
Better to seek the knowledge of one adept, than the multitudes of mediocrity - Technical critique over popular opinion.

Because it makes me feel better to put other people down.
I was at a party tonight. Thought I was doing pretty good at taking with multiple people, but the girl I was interested in kissed the friend I came to the party with.
It feels like I'm either a guy who just can't flirt with women or really unattractive.
Some girls people are just fucking idiots dude.
Don't let anyone get you down. Keep on keepin on.
Karth: you look like my clone. Think about that for a minute.
Also, maybe she wants to pull a train.

Some things to remember when it comes to your love life.
1.) Kissing don't mean shit at a party.
2.) Just because there is a goalie in the net doesn't mean you can't score.
3.) You gotta love yourself first, then others will love you.

This point has been fortuitous for me on multiple occasions

This particular point is a strong one for me, not only love yourself (but not to the point of vanity), but just love who you are, if you don't know, take time to discover it. You'll like the person that comes out in the end because you'll know it's you.

I don't know why this bothered me but it did.

Your statement comes across as thinly-veiled misogyny.
I'm sorry it was interpreted that way. I should have just edited it instead of editing with a strike through.
