From what I'm reading (and from what I've encountered in game design stuff), 3D modeling and 3D physics if you're taking a route into that part of the field (Computer Aided Design Stuff)
I've seen game engine physics that rely on theoretical physics and formulas very similar to the problem you're attempting to solve here. So, it's applicable, when you're going that route.
There's a Quaternion based function in the Source Engine.

That's true. I'm not planning on going into game design and the computer engineering program that these two classes are required for is more hardware based. Like integrated circuit design and shit like that.

I wish I had done EE/CS but it was too abstract for me. Mechanics is pretty straightforward, but I guess to each their own.
Also @zane: there's like rando sub-reddits you can harass for help with stuff like that, maybe /r/engineeringstudents or the like, but for physics etc.

It's kind of a requirement for ABET accreditation iirc. IE if you want a program whose degrees are worth more than the paper they're printed on, you're going to abide by ABET accreditation standards. Generally both subjects cover lots of basic topics any engineer should at least be vaguely familiar with. Something about standardized languages/concepts make it easier to communicate and interface with other technical personnel throughout your life.
Also, you might as well get familiar with cross-products and the right-hand rule, you will probably see a lot of them throughout college, at which point they may or may not mysteriously disappear from everything you do, depending on career path (for example I don't don't even do basic calculus)
Yeah I think both our programs are ABET certified. That would explain it.
You could always do Computer Science where (at least at my school) the only difference between taking Physics and taking Geology was 1 credit hour (including labs).
I still took both
An engineering degree that's not from an ABET accredited university isn't worth the paper it's printed on, let alone the loans for tuition :x
And yeah breadth classes are required, so that may be why.
Also CmpE <> EE <> CS

Also if you ever want to take the PE exam afterwards, you'll need to know it anyways

Apparently I got super sick from something at work and now I'm missing the day that determines whether or not I get to continue working.

What did your hard drive die? It's often possible to recover a lot or all of the data.
So this girl that i have a huge crush on was out at the bar my good friend and I are at and they start dancing together.
edited for drunkeness
My grandpa is dying, we were close.
Edit: and apparently my relatives think it's cool to be shitheads now.
I miss playing video games with you guys.

Bunch of people are playing CSGO pretty regularly, among some other games like Payday and such, be online...maybe idle on mumble and watch for people to sign in?

It's less about actually playing with you guys and more about not having enough time to spare. Really hoping Smash picks it up.

Get the new Borderlands or Civ when they come out, and I'll happily join you.
